Hotel de Kroon Kaatsheuvel is just a 5 minute walk from de Efteling (really!) and is the ideal startpoint to visit De Efteling.
The park is knowns for its authentic fearytales-forest and its show like the fearytale tree. De Efteling has won prices for the most beautiful themepark in Europe. Next to the park, situated in a forest area, you will find the The Efteling golfpark with a total length of 6.256 meter en 19 holes.
The surroundings of Kaatsheuvel offers a lot more possibilities on cultural and active areas.
Within 10 minutes with bicycle there is the national park Loonse en Drunense Duinen,
one of the biggest sand-driftings in Europe, where you can ride a bike or take a walk.
Nearby is also the strongholdcity Heusden. Really worth the visit! In the old streets and small alleys you will discover time and time again, lots of ancient, very well preserved and restaurated buildings and housefronts with beautiful stones.
